Chain of Love 2010
The 2010 Chain of Love gift has once again been designated for St. Benoit Episcopal School, in Mombin-Crochu, Haiti. The decision to select St. Benoit as our Chain of Love recipient has been prayerfully considered. We expect that our gift will help with the continued construction of a school building, enable them to hire new teachers and provide tuition assistance to area children. We know from visiting Mombin-Crochu in March of this year that while our 2009 Chain of Love gift was a great start, more is needed before the children of this village have even their most basic needs met. It is our intention to support their ministry and do our best to reach out in love and generosity.
As before, every dollar we raise during our campaign will be represented by a domino in an enormous domino chain on the St. George School gymnasium floor. In the five years since the inception of the Chain of Love, St. George families have raised over $40,000 to combat global poverty.
