School Life
great students, great people
"At St. George, we meet children where they are, and take them as far as they can go."
—Rob Devlin, Head of School
This mantra describes our approach to the development of each individual child at St. George. Diverse backgrounds and a variety of learning styles mean that each student is at his or her own level in the learning process. While our student population is accustomed to being led at a balanced but accelerated pace, our teachers incorporate differentiated instruction, and keep a close eye on students to ensure they are challenged and learning to their greatest potential.
We also understand that it takes more than just a solid academic foundation to succeed in life. It’s our goal at St. George to produce not just academically accomplished students, but ones who are socially and morally developed, as well. We believe that the richness of students’ experiences outside the classroom plays an important role in achieving this goal. That’s why, in addition to academics, school life at St. George includes special emphasis on citizenship, faith, and athletics. Each of these four areas contributes to students’ development in specific ways. Together, they complement each other to produce the educated, confident, and well-rounded students for which St. George is known and admired.
