The St. George Faculty and Staff
dedication that makes a difference
Read through our faculty and staff’s personal statements on their biography pages and you’ll be struck by how passionate they are about teaching at St. George. That’s one of the reasons their involvement with the St. George community usually extends well beyond the classroom. Faculty and staff play an important part in the school’s many extra-curricular activities and programs, such as the Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO), before- and after-school care, the annual fourth-grade musical, Dragonfest, the annual gala fundraiser, school board subcommittees, the Beta Club, and the annual Fiesta Float. On a daily basis, teachers also interact with students and parents before and after classes, as students are being dropped off and picked up, and during morning chapel. Further supported by lower student-to-teacher ratios, teachers are able to better know students and their families than is often possible in standard school settings. The result is a stronger bond between student and teacher, better informed parents, and an approach to teaching that is individualized for each student. The unique environment that St. George offers teachers not only attracts some of the best and most dedicated in the city, but keeps them coming back, year after year.
